Apparently the life expectancy of an engine for a 2004 Mazda RX8 is about 30K miles. Getting the second engine replaced this week. They did set me up with a 2010 Mazda 3, which is nicer than I had anticipated. I think I would prefer the 5 door hatch that I test drove last week. It's a loaner, I'll take what I can get.
